State Senate Candidate Thom Collier Pats Himself on Back for Collecting 50 Signatures

You gotta love those campaign consultants.  They never run out of ways of getting candidates to spend their money, on them of course.  Here's the latest from my email inbox.  Check bouncin Thom Collier sent out an email patting himself on the back for collecting 50 signatures to run for the Ohio Senate.

We did it!

This week in Mansfield I filed my petitions to run for the State Senate.

I am running for the State Senate to serve. (Translation, I need that big paycheck because no one else is foolish enough to hire me).  Ohio is losing jobs and people at an alarming rate. I cannot stand on the sidelines and watch as Ohio loses companies and people to states with a better business climate.(Translation, I did nothing to stop this in my first 8 years in office and I'll do even less if you send me back).

Since I announced my campaign in August, I have spoken with thousands of voters across the 19th District. The message is loud and clear that voters are not going to continue to support business as usual in Columbus. Just like me, they are frustrated with the economic condition of our state, and they are going to make their voices heard at the voting booths.  (Translation, I can't stand to be around these Tea Bagging kooks, but I'll ride this wave anyway).

Serving as a state representative for 8 years, I built an impressive conservative record. I was given the Watchdog of the Treasury Award by the United Conservatives of Ohio and was instrumental in shaping a tax reform package that eliminated the corporate franchise, tangible personal property taxes, and cut the income tax of every Ohioan by 21 percent.

Any contribution you can make today will help me get our message across District 19. (Translation, my consultants have spent most of my money).  Together, we can restore our economy and create jobs for Ohio. Will you make an investment in Ohio's future?  (Translation, will you make an investment in my consultants next out of state vacation home)?
